England will face India and South Africa in the group stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in 2020, while the women’s team will play South Africa at the WACA in their opening fixture next year.
It is the first time that the men’s and women’s T20 World Cups will be held in the same country in the same year as standalone events.
England’s women - holders of the 50-over World Cup - will face South Africa, Pakistan and West Indies in the group stage of the competition, which starts on 21 February 2020 ahead of the final at the MCG on 8 March – which is also International Women’s Day.
The men’s side - who won the competition in 2010 - will travel Down Under in October to take on South Africa, India, Pakistan and two qualifiers in the Super 12 stage of the tournament.
The competition begins on 18 October 2020, with the final also at the MCG on 15 November.
