The kids from our campaign video explain why they love cricket!
Melissa
My name is Melissa and I play cricket at my school with my class in PE, and at home with my brother. I like playing cricket because I like running around, the adrenaline of being competitive and the actions we get to do. It makes me feel happy and I enjoy playing. It makes me feel good!
Olivia
My name is Olivia and I play cricket at school with my friends. I like playing cricket with my best friend Abigail because it's really fun! Abigail's a really good batter and she says that I'm a really good bowler, it’s fun to play together.
Hassan
My name's Hassan and I play cricket at home in my backyard with my brother, sister and my dad. I like playing cricket because it it's fun to spend time with my family.
Ivy
My name is Ivy and I play cricket in my back garden with my friends. I like to play with my best friend because it's lots of fun and free time to play outside!
Olivia
My name is Olivia and I play cricket in my school with my friends because it's fun for all of us. For me playing cricket is seeing other people smile and something that I really enjoy.
Amari
My name is Amari and I like to play cricket at school! If it’s raining outside, we play Kwik cricket in the hall. If one of our best batters has been playing for ages, our sports teacher does his best to get him out. Then when it’s the teacher’s turn to play and we manage to get them out it makes us all laugh and scream. Sometimes we play diamond or normal cricket with bats and a tennis ball. We have laugh and joke when people get out and stuff, that’s my favourite bit.
Octavia
My name is Octavia and I play cricket at school with my friends. I like playing with my friend Megan the most because she motivates me and we have fun.
Ahmed
My name is Ahmad and I play cricket with my team-mates, my dad and my brother at my cricket club and in my back garden. I like playing cricket because I enjoy being competitive and it helps me have better stamina!
Elliot
My name is Elliot and I play cricket at my local cricket club. I enjoy playing with my team-mates because we have fun together.
