ENGLAND VS PAKISTAN (FIRST TEST MATCH) PREDICTOR COMPETITION T&Cs
COMPETITION OVERVIEW
- The promoter of this competition is England and Wales Cricket Board Limited (company number 03251364) whose registered office is at Lords Cricket Ground, St Johns Wood, London, NW8 8QZ (the “ECB”).
- The ECB is operating this quiz-based predictor competition in relation to the first test match of the 2026 England Men vs Pakistan Men test series (the “Test Match”), for fans of England cricket to have the opportunity to win certain match tickets (as described below in clause 17) (the “Competition”).
- All Entrants (as defined below in clause 5) are automatically deemed to have accepted, and agreed to be bound by, these terms and conditions (the “T&Cs”) upon entry into the Competition.
ENTRY PROCESS
- The Competition will be open for entry between 09:00 BST on 12 August 2026 (the “Opening Date”) and 11:00 BST on 19 August 2026 (the “Closing Date”). Any entries completed or received after the Closing Date and/or other than in accordance with the entry requirements set out below will be automatically disqualified from the Competition.
- All entries to the Competition must be made by individuals online via the ECB website at ecb.co.uk (the "Site") or the England Cricket mobile application (the "App") and each such entry will only be accepted by registered users of the Site and/or the App. No entries to the Competition made via any other means or manner will be accepted as an entry to the Competition. Each valid entry to the Competition will be considered an "Entrant" in the Competition.
- On the Competition submission form, each Entrant will be asked to provide a username to be displayed on a Competition leaderboard, which will be made publicly available on the Site (the “Leaderboard”). The ECB reserves the right to reject a username that, in the ECB’s sole opinion, is inappropriate or offensive and such Entrants shall be treated as being in breach of these T&Cs and, therefore, be disqualified from the Competition. Each Entrant must also submit their predicted answers to five quiz questions (“Entry Questions”), plus one tiebreaker question which will require a numerical response (the “Tiebreaker Question”).
- Entries to the Competition will not be accepted by any other means other than as described in clauses 4, 5 and 6
COMPETITION RULES
- All validly submitted entries to the Competition and their applicable username will then be automatically added to the Leaderboard. Following conclusion of the Test Match (whether shortened or interrupted for any reason including, but not limited to, adverse weather), each Entrant will be awarded one point for each correct answer to the five Entry Questions (i.e. the maximum number of points for each Entrant being five). Each Entrant’s total points will be displayed on the Leaderboard.
- The Entrant with the highest total points on the Leaderboard will be declared as the winner of the Competition (the “Winner”). If there are two or more Entrants with the same number of total points at the top of the Leaderboard, the Entrant with the closest accurate answer to the Tiebreaker Question shall be declared as the Winner (such process being the “Tiebreaker Round”). In respect of the Tiebreaker Round (if required), answers equally above or below the correct figures shall be deemed as equally close. If two or more Entrants submit the exact same winning answer to the Tiebreaker Question (or answers that are equally close), such pool of Entrants shall then be entered into a computer-generated random draw within 60 days following the Closing Date to select the Winner (such process being the “Random Draw”).
- In the event the Test Match is completely cancelled, abandoned or declared a "no result" without a single ball being bowled, the Competition shall be deemed void and the process set out in clause 9 shall not apply. Instead, all valid Entrants shall be entered into a Random Draw to select the Winner.
- The ECB will be the sole decision-maker of any aspect of the content of, or playing of, the Competition. The ECB will not enter into correspondence relating to such matters and its decision as to any matter arising out of or in connection with these Competition rules, including but not limited to the allocation of points to any Entrant and/or the award of any Prize and/or any ranking or Leaderboard shall be final and conclusive.
- The Competition is free to enter, and no purchase will be necessary.
ELIGIBILITY
- The Competition is only open to residents in the UK aged 13 years or older at the time of entry to the Competition, but excluding employees of the ECB, its associated companies and agencies, their immediate families or anyone else involved in the organisation or administration of the Competition.
- Each Entrant may only enter the Competition once. If the same Entrant submits multiple entries or the ECB discovers that an Entrant has entered the Competition on someone else’s behalf (excluding in the case of a parent or guardian), then the ECB may, at its absolute sole discretion, limit such entries to a single entry only or disqualify that Entrant from the Competition.
- In entering the Competition, each Entrant confirms that they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize (as defined below) that they may win. The ECB may require an Entrant to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the Competition (including proof of age or residence).
- The ECB reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Entrant has breached these T&Cs.
PRIZE
- There will be one (1) Winner of the Competition, who shall be awarded with one prize in total which shall be a pair of general admission tickets (i.e. two (2) tickets) for one matchday of an England Men’s or England Women’s home cricket fixture taking place in 2027 of the Winner’s choosing (the “Prize”).
- Only the Winner will be contacted by the ECB as soon as reasonably practicable after completion of the Competition via email from the ECB’s customer support team.
- The Winner must confirm that they are able to accept the Prize and specify which matchday they have elected for their Prize within 72 hours of being notified by the ECB that they are a Winner. In the event that any Winner fails to do so by this date, or is unable to accept the Prize that they have won for any reason or the ECB determines that a Winner has breached these T&Cs, the ECB shall make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner but, if the Winner cannot be contacted, then the ECB reserves the right to offer the Prize to another Entrant. The ECB does not accept any responsibility for failure by any Winner to claim their Prize. Where the Winner is under 18 years of age, the ECB may request the Winner’s parent or legal guardian’s contact details in order to administer and fulfil the awarding of the Prize. Any such related communications may be sent to the parent or guardian as the ECB deems appropriate.
- The Prize will be sent to the Winner (and/or their parent or guardian) via email (or delivered within the relevant venue’s app, which the ECB will provide instructions for by email) as soon as reasonably practicable after the ECB receives it from the Winner’s selected matchday host venue. Please note the Prize may not be received by the ECB until up to three weeks before the relevant matchday from the Winner’s selected matchday host venue. The Winner will not be liable for any costs related to shipping.
- The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Prize may also not be sold by the Winner or passed on to another individual (e.g. in the case of tickets). The Prize does not include anything not expressly set out in these T&Cs including spending money, food and drink, associated travel and accommodation, medical or other general expenses. In the case of ticket Prizes, they shall also be subject to the applicable ticketing terms and conditions and any applicable ground rules at the venue where the fixture or experience is held. If relevant, the Winner will be responsible for ensuring that they and any person travelling with them are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents on the relevant dates. The ECB shall not be responsible if the Winner is unable to take up the Prize for such reasons.
- The Prize shall always be subject to availability, and the ECB reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any Prize for an alternative prize if necessary.
- The Winner may be contacted to participate in publicity related to the Competition, but participation is optional. If the Winner agrees to participate in any such publicity activities, the Winner and their guest (or if the Winner is under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian) agree that the ECB may, with prior consent of the Winner and their guest (or, as relevant, their parent or guardian), record, film and/or photograph their participation in all aspects of the relevant Prize and exploit, and authorise third parties to exploit, such films, photographs or recordings in any media now known or hereafter invented in any part of the world and for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity, with no payment being due. The ECB will, in due time, provide the Winner with all relevant information regarding this specific processing of personal data and request consent from the Winner before implementing said processing. Where the Winner is under 18 years old, the consent of their parent or guardian will always be sought in respect of any publicity.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Neither the ECB nor any of its partners, affiliates, agents, employees, officers, directors or representatives will be liable (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the organising or holding of the Competition or as a result of any Entrant’s participation in the Competition or as a result of winning, collecting, use or enjoyment of any Prize, if the Competition does not run as planned or if any part of any Prize is unable to be delivered for any technical or other reasons. Entrants’ statutory rights shall not affected.
- If the Competition or any part of it is not capable of running or being completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to reasons of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the ECB, the ECB reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition without liability.
- The ECB accepts no responsibility for Competition entries that are not successfully completed or submitted, regardless of cause, including (without limitation) due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure, of any kind.
ENTRANTS’ PERSONAL DATA
- Any personal data relating to any individual which is received by the ECB in relation to the Competition will be used in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and the ECB’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at: https://www.ecb.co.uk/about/privacy-policy.

To comply with this obligation, the ECB will send the surname of the Winner to anyone who submits an enquiry to the ECB at https://ecbcs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us within one month after the Closing Date. If you object to your surname being published or made available, please contact the ECB. However, the ECB must still provide this information in accordance with applicable laws when requested. In such circumstances, the ECB must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- If an Entrant has any questions about these T&Cs, including any request to exercise their legal rights under data protection law, they should contact the ECB at privacy@ecb.co.uk.
- You will have the option to opt in to receive marketing emails from the ECB. If you do not opt in, the ECB will only contact you in connection with the organisation or administration of the Competition, including if you are selected as a winner in order to facilitate fulfilment of the Prize. If you choose to opt in, your information shall be securely stored in accordance with the ECB’s Privacy Policy (as set out above). You have the option to unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
GENERAL
- The ECB reserves the right to refuse entry to the Competition, to disqualify from the Competition or to refuse to award the Prize to anyone who it reasonably considers has breached these T&Cs or to anyone who, in the ECB’s sole opinion, has otherwise acted improperly or dishonestly.
- The decision of the ECB regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding (including as to the award of the Prize) and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any such decision.
- If any provision of these T&Cs is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these T&Cs, which shall remain in full force and effect.
- These T&Cs and any dispute or claim (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and all Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any disputes or claims arising out of, or in connection with, these T&Cs or the Competition.
