Playing cricket is a great way for children to make friends, learn new skills and to develop their fundamental movement skills. Cricket is open to all and there are lots of opportunities for children aged five upwards to learn the game.
Chance to Shine
Chance to Shine is a national charity that aims to give all children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket.
They work to develop the personal, social and physical skills of the 600,000 children that Chance to Shine work with every year.
Lord's Taverners
Lord’s Taverners is a national cricket charity who exist to impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality.
Their SEND schools programme looks to support Special and Alternative Needs schools and units with the provision of cricket coaching – with a range of adapted versions of the game, delivered by the county cricket network of experienced cricket coaches.
