Free batting sessions and a new Roblox catching game for cricket-curious young players this summer
The ECB Roblox World adds a new catching mini-game for the summer, with a limited number of free HiTZ Cricket sessions up for grabs for UK players aged 13 and over.
The ECB has launched a new catching mini-game in the ECB Roblox Cricket World, marking the start of the 2026 summer of cricket and giving young players a direct route from digital play into the real game.
The catching game sits alongside the existing 60-second batting challenge that has driven millions of plays since launching in 2025. In 60-second rounds, players race towards highlighted landing zones to catch balls launched into play, scoring points and competing on a global leaderboard.
For UK players aged 13 and over, the game comes with a real-world incentive: a free batting session at HiTZ Cricket venues across England, available on a first-come, first-served basis. HiTZ operates high-tech batting nets equipped with ball-tracking cameras, video replay and analysis - at over 10 sites across the country, with a further 10 opening soon.
The 2026 summer of cricket is a moment to introduce more young people to the game, and this is one of the ways the ECB is making that connection - meeting players in the space they already love, then giving them somewhere to go next.
