England have jumped ahead of India to sit at the top of the ICC’s latest ODI team rankings.
The Three Lions are rated at the best 50-over side in international cricket after gaining eight points to move to 125 points, while former table-toppers India lost one point to fall down to second with 122 points.
England have won all of their last six ODI series and nine out of their last 10 under the captaincy of Eoin Morgan.
That included overseas victories against New Zealand and world champions Australia this winter off the back of a comprehensive series win over South Africa at home last summer.
England will host the ICC World Cup in 2019 and will continue their preparations for the tournament with ODI fixtures against Scotland, Australia and India this summer.
